Shortened from its Grand Prix length by 700m to 3.2km this former Formula 1 circuit is renowned for being one of the best in the world. The circuit offers very little room for error and gives the drivers few opportunities to relax.
The circuit underwent major resurfacing work and a new pit lane was constructed before the 2009 event. The Adelaide 500 was first held in 1999.
