Shell V-Power Racing Team duo Anton De Pasquale and Will Davison have been cleared of alleged yellow flag breaches, saving them from grid penalties for Friday’s Albert Park race.

De Pasquale and Davison came home seventh and 14th in Thursday’s Race 3, which was won by Red Bull Ampol Racing driver Broc Feeney. Feeney was pipped off the line by De Pasquale, who started second. However, De Pasquale was third by lap 4, and dropped to seventh.

Prior to Race 3, De Pasquale and Davison qualified sixth and eighth respectively for Friday’s race, with Ford rival Cam Waters claiming pole. However, yellow flags were out at Turn 3 for the stricken PremiAir Nulon Camaros, with the DJR Fords arriving on the scene.

Tim Slade and James Golding both rotated at the right-hand Turn 3 with two minutes left in qualifying. At the time, Davison was 15th on the time sheets, and De Pasquale 24th and last.

The two DJR Fords went past the incident and went on to qualify in the top eight.

It was later determined that the DJR cars had not gained time in Sector 1, where the flags were being waved, and there was also a conflict between flag signals.

“The Race Director heard from the Team, viewed and analysed each cars’ vision and data evidence provided by the Team, and along with the conflicting flag signals at Turn 3 (panel and flags) determined both cars had slowed in the zone and therefore the matter did not warrant further action,” the stewards report reads.

Brad Jones Racing has also been fined after incorrectly locating a set of tyres for one of its cars in the infield paddock.

The stewards report adds: "Following a post-race session investigation by the Race Director into an alleged breach of Article B 6.5.18.1 of the 2024 Supercars Championship Operations Manual by Brad Jones Racing Pty Ltd. The team admitted that Car 12 tyres were located outside of the teams allocated paddock garage and not compliant with Article 20 of the Authorised Representatives Briefing Instructions for this event. The Stewards imposed a fine of $1,000 on Brad Jones Racing Pty Ltd."

Friday’s 19-lap Race 3 is set to commence at at 2:55pm AEST, and will run to 19 laps or one lap after 3:33pm.
