Wednesday night fan event to feature Track to Town, signing session with all drivers
PIRTEK Pit Stop Challenge Finals, and live TV show
Street Party runs 3:00pm to 8:00pm on Wednesday October 8
The Repco Bathurst 1000 Street Party is back after its inaugural success in 2024, with an even bigger celebration set for Wednesday, October 8 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm AEDT in the Bathurst CBD.
Fans will again be treated to a spectacular free evening of entertainment, bringing the excitement of the Great Race into the heart of the city on the eve of the 2025 Repco Bathurst 1000.
The Repco Street Party will be headlined by all 27 Supercars and superstar athlete drivers competing in this year’s Great Race driving their Supercars from the Track to Town.
Fans can line the streets and cheer on the convoy as drivers make the journey from Mount Panorama Circuit to Russell Street where they will arrive at approximately 5:45pm in front of the Bathurst Courthouse.
Prime movers from team transporters will lead the Supercars through Bathurst, allowing fans to see the Championship’s big rigs after their arrival at the Mountain.
Fans will have the opportunity to meet all 54 drivers competing in the Repco Bathurst 1000 during an hour-long signing session featuring the entire Great Race field.
The live television show from Bathurst begins at 5:30pm on Foxtel and will include the broadcast of the PIRTEK Pit Stop Challenge Finals, where the top four pit crews from across the Supercars season will battle it out for the $20,000 prize and the coveted Golden Rattle Gun Trophy.
Supercars CEO James Warburton said: “After the phenomenal success of last year’s inaugural Street Party, we’re absolutely thrilled to bring it back even bigger and better in 2025.
“To have all 27 Supercars and our championship drivers on parade through the heart of Bathurst, meeting with our passionate fans, as well as a showcase of our world-class pit crews under lights on national television - that’s motorsport spectacle at its absolute finest and something truly unique to the Bathurst 1000.
“This is exactly how you celebrate what is without question the biggest and most important week in Australian motorsport.”
As part of the week-long Bathurst 1000 festivities, the street party serves as another opportunity to showcase Bathurst CBD and encourage fans to visit local area businesses.
Bathurst Mayor, Cr Robert Taylor, commented on the excitement the Repco Bathurst 1000 Street Party brings to town.
“It’s fantastic, the sense of vibrancy that the Street Party brings to the Bathurst CBD. It’s a chance for locals and visiting race fans to come together, see the impressive array of cars and meet the drivers. The event is a brilliant spectacle that really brings the buzz of the great race into our city,” said Mayor Taylor.
Four pit crews will go head-to-head in the live finals of the 2025 PIRTEK Pit Stop Challenge as part of the Street Party. Brad Jones Racing is chasing a record-extending sixth title, with Matt Stone Racing and Blanchard Racing Team chasing their first wins.
Triple Eight Race Engineering defeated MSR in a photo finish last year, but will not defend their title after getting bumped out of Pit Stop Challenge Finals contention at Ipswich earlier this month.
“The PIRTEK Pit Stop Challenge gives us the perfect opportunity to showcase the quality of our products in a high-performance environment, where performance and reliability matter most,” PIRTEK CEO Mark Devitt said.
“These Supercars pit crews are relied on to limit downtime and keep their teams operating on track the same way PIRTEK crews are relied on to keep Australian industries operating year-round, 24/7.”
The Repco Bathurst 1000 Street Party forms part of the week-long festivities ahead of Sunday’s Great Race, with the new Fan-Fest Tuesday powered by Repco set to feature in Bathurst CBD on Tuesday, October 7.
Repco will bring the party to Bathurst at the Repco Bathurst 1000 Street Party, featuring its fleet of modified vehicles, mobile stage, and a host of giveaways including the popular meat tray raffle to entertain fans throughout the afternoon and evening.
“Repco is incredibly proud to help bring the Bathurst Street Party back after such an amazing debut last year,” Repco’s Executive General Manager - Marketing, Mitch Wiley added.
“This is a true celebration of our sport, our fans, and our community.
“The Repco Bathurst 1000 is the pinnacle of Australian motorsport, and to see the cars, drivers and crews come off the Mountain and into the heart of Bathurst the night before the Great Race makes for a very special experience.
“We can’t wait to see Russell Street packed with fans, families, and kids as we kick off the biggest week of the year in style.”
The free Bathurst Street Party begins at 3:00pm on Wednesday, 8 October on Russell Street in Bathurst CBD.
On-track action at the 2025 Repco Bathurst 1000 begins Thursday, 9 October, with the Great Race where new Kings of the Mountain will be crowned on Sunday, October 12.
