ABOUT THE ROLE:

Supercars has recently undergone a 7-phase digital transformation, which included the launch of a new website and app. This has resulted in a dramatic increase across our engagement metrics and we’re now looking for a Digital Sales Manager to help increase opportunities to commercialise our digital platforms.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience with demonstrated success of selling digital media packages. Agency sales experience will be viewed favorably. An understanding of the sporting and entertainment verticals is essential, and this role would be suited to an energetic self-starter with strong contacts across the digital media sales industry / agencies.

The primary purpose of the role is to:

  • Generate income opportunities for Supercars through key revenue pillars across the digital ecosystem, including:

  • Website and app: Generate revenue through sales of digital display, pre-roll and strategic integrations.

  • Grow YouTube advertising revenue through direct sales against our high-performing content.

  • Generate commercial content opportunities in social media.

  • Identify new opportunities for the sport that can supplement existing revenue opportunities of the business, while building strong multi-tiered relationships for the sport.

  • Source new digital partnerships by being active in market engaging Brands and Agencies about the Supercars community and how a partnership with Sport can effectively deliver against their respective objectives. Layered with this, utilise our research tools for specific category and brand insights.

  • Negotiate commercial terms and working through the contractual process with Supercars Legal function.

  • Support the GM Commercial, Head of Sales with building partnership proposals and growing a Sales pipeline.

  • Maintain a strong working dynamic with digital partners and supporting the Digital Activations Manager with the delivery of contractual benefits.

  • Look to expand digital partners into broader Sponsorship opportunities across the full Supercars digital ecosystem.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • In conjunction with the GM Commercial and Head of Sales, develop integrated partner sales plans for the season including prospecting strategies and targets.

  • Execute sales plans across the Digital ecosystem to assist with the delivery on agreed budget and new business targets.

  • Manage all stages of the sales cycle including prospecting, cold calling, proposal development, deal negotiation and contractual process.

  • Manage inbound enquiries alongside developing a significant outbound sales focus by building a targeted list of prospects aligned with Category gaps within each respective property.

  • Drive and create short and long-term term sales opportunities.

  • Managing external media sales agency relationships, as the daily point of contact for trafficking campaigns and sales support.

  • Ability to dissect a brand’s business & marketing objectives/challenges and build ROI based tailored solution that utilises a variety of facets of the Supercars digital program.

  • Attend Supercars Events with prospective clients and agency partners showcasing the sport and Supercars Partnerships program.

  • Support the Digital Team with the execution of contractual deliverables and identify opportunities for digital partners to grow their investment into a broader Commercial partnership with Supercars (broadcast, events etc).

  • Maintain relationships with clients that have been brought into the business.

  • From time to time be available to support with the day-to-day management of partners.

  • Deliver post campaign reports for partners and advertisers.
