This year's Repco Bathurst 1000 field is one of the most decorated and experienced in history, with the 52-driver grid featuring a combined 500 starts and 25 wins.

The October 10-13 event will see nine drivers with 20 or more starts compete for the Peter Brock Trophy, while there are 10 former winners and a further 12 podium finishers.

Tony D'Alberto will make his 20th start, while James Courtney, Michael Caruso and Jack Perkins will all rack up their 19th starts.

Six-time podium finisher Luff will race with 2017 Bathurst winner David Reynolds, with the duo combining for 39 Bathurst starts. Remarkably, they have the same tally as Team 18 stablemates Winterbottom and Caruso.

All told, Team 18 has a combined 78 Bathurst starts across its two cars. In contrast, there are six Bathurst rookies on the grid: Ryan Wood, Cooper Murray, Aaron Cameron, Cameron McLeod, Cameron Crick and Brad Vaughan.

Should either Team 18 car win, it would still fall short of the benchmark set by veterans Lowndes and Steven Richards, who won the 2018 race together with a combined 51 starts.

Four-time podium finisher Courtney will make his 19th start alongside mate Perkins, with the duo racing to third together in 2019 at Walkinshaw Andretti United.
