Blanchard, Matt Stone, BJR crews to contest Live Finals
Triple Eight denied chance of defending title
Four crews have been locked into the Live Finals for the 2025 PIRTEK Pit Stop Challenge after a final-round change at the Century Batteries Ipswich Super 440.
There were seven crews in mathematical contention to reach the Live Finals heading into Ipswich, with Triple Eight Race Engineering under pressure to defend its title.
Brad Jones Racing pulled off a final-round twist to bump Triple Eight out, with the Albury team scoring a double shot at winning its sixth PIRTEK Pit Stop Challenge title.
Blanchard Racing Team beat BJR's crew on Andre Heimgartner and Bryce Fullwood's cars by a solitary point, with the second BJR crew sneaking in ahead of Matt Stone Racing.
Triple Eight missed out by five points, with Walkinshaw Andretti United and Erebus Motorsport rounding out the top seven. Triple Eight took the lead in Darwin, but slipped to fifth in two rounds to fall out of contention altogether.
Dick Johnson Racing rounded out the regular PIRTEK Pit Stop Challenge season in last of the full-time crews, behind Team 18 and PremiAir Racing. Tickford Racing jumped from 11th to ninth, saving some pride.
