2026 Century Batteries Ipswich Super 440: Everything you need to know
We’re back at the “Paperclip” for Round 9 of the Recpo Supercars Championship for the Century Batteries Ipswich Super 440.
There will be plenty happening in and around QR and Ipswich in addition to high octane racing and the awarding of the Repco Sprint Cup.
Here are the top things to check out.
1. Supercars Fanfare
Thursday 20th August from 4:30pm to 6:30pm.
The Supercars Fanfare returns to Ipswich at Talmud Place, Nicholas Street Precinct, where there will be plenty of activities, giveaways, family fun and a Driver’s Signing Session from 5:00pm to 6pm in the heart of the city ahead of all the racing action at Queensland Raceway.

2. Signing Sessions
There will be three signing sessions (inclusive of Thursday). Fans can get an autograph and a selfie with their favourite drivers, and FREE posters will be provided. Check out the sessions below:
Thursday 20th August: 5:00pm to 6:00pm at the Supercars Fanfare event, Talmud Place at the Nicholas Street Precinct;
Saturday 22nd August: 8:30am to 9:00am in Merch Alley
Sunday 23rd August: 9:40am to 10:00am at the Pit Lane Fan Experience - this is a ticketed experience, click here to grab tickets*
*You require an event ticket to track precinct in addition to a separate ticket for the Pit Lane Fan Experience.
3. What’s on at Queensland Raceway
There’s plenty on at QR over the weekend, here is just a few of the things that will be going on:
Saturday post-race entertainment: from 5:30pm to 6:00pm - the action keeps going after Saturday’s racing with fireworks, the Hot Wheels Stunts Team, TJ Stuntz and spectacular burnouts making for an unforgettable family entertainment showcase.
Hot Wheels Stunt Team: Matt Mingay, Maddox Mingay and Kent Dalton deliver drifts, burnouts and precision driving across the weekend, with a static display in merch alley where you can meet the team, snag an autograph and see the cars.
Stunt Bike and Trials Zone: at the further end of merch alley will be Tjay Stuntz, Matt Mingay and Flair Action Sports showcasing wheelies, aerial tricks and high-energy action between Supercars sessions.
Car Displays: check out Tony Quinn’s 1995 Simtek S951 Formula 1 car in action on track and on display in the Supercars Paddock, alongside his 1989 Porsche 962C Group C car, which will also be on track and on display.
Family Fun: there’s plenty of family fun over the weekend at Queensland Raceway. Simulators provide an opportunity to race a car or fly a jet; while the Hot Wheels Kids Zone features inflatables, games, activities, Hot Wheels displays and merch; and take in spectacular views of the “Paperclip” with the Ferris Wheel providing sky high action across the track.
Supercars Paddock and vantage points: the best way to experience Queensland Raceway is to walk it! The entire track is walkable, and there are plenty of vantage points to see the entire track, including the view from the hill at Turn 1, and in the viewing areas in the Supercars Paddock (click here to purchase Paddock upgrade passes).
4. Support Categories
There will be four support categories alongside the Repco Supercars Championship across the weekend: Porsche Equity-One Carrera Cup Australia, Toyota Gazoo Racing Australia GR Cup, Battery World Aussie Racing Cars and Trans Am.

5. Track Schedule
The Supercars action kicks off on Friday afternoon with two back-to-back practice sessions, with Practice 1 commencing at 2:40pm, then Practice 2 at 3:30pm - both sessions are 30 minutes.
Saturday begins with Boost Mobile Qualifying (Race 26) at 10:00am, then Boost Mobile Qualifying (Race 27) at 10:50am. Both sessions are a two-part qualifying format. The racing then kicks off at 12:45pm with Race 26, then Race 27 capping off the Saturday afternoon at 4:15pm.
Sunday Supercars sessions starts off with a two-part Boost Mobile Qualifying (Race 28) at 10:55am, which leads into the Boost Mobile Top Ten Shootout at 11:40am. Then at 3:20pm, the final race of the weekend - Race 28, comprising of 62 laps will commence at 3:20pm, with the Repco Sprint Cup winner crowned at the conclusion.

Gate Opening Times are as follows: 7:45am (all three days)
We highly recommend taking public transport to/from the event.
Public Transport: Fans are encouraged to take a train to Ipswich station (located approximately 20 minutes away from the station). A FREE Shuttle Bus service will run from the station to the raceway on Saturday and Sunday
Drop Off and Pick Up Areas: there is one drop off and pick up area, located at Albert Theaker Park. Follow the signs and the directions of the traffic controllers and event staff. A free shuttle bus service will operate between Albert Theaker Park and Gate 2 (and vice-versa).
Priority Parking: priority parking provides a closer parking spot and a shorter walk to the track. Follow the signs off Champions Way. Prices start from $20, a weekend pass costs $70. Click here to book your spot (note, this is run by Queensland Raceway).
Free Parking: free parking is available all weekend. Follow the signs off Champions Way and follow the signs and directions of the event staff.
Accessible Parking: there are a number of accessible parking spots available at Car Park A, near Gate 1. Please ensure you have your government issued disabled parking permit displayed.
Motorcycle Parking: motorcycle parking is available in both the priority and free parking areas, please follow the signs and event staff. Note motorcyclists wanting to park in the priority car park will need to pay to access, click here to purchase a parking pass.
