Volunteers behind Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 awarded Best Volunteer Group
The first time the volunteer group at the Gold Coast event has claimed the award

The volunteers who helped put on another hugely successful Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 have taken out the award for Best Volunteer Group of the 2023 Repco Supercars Championship.
Announced at the season ending VAILO Adelaide 500, the group of volunteers who helped put on this year’s instalment of Queensland’s biggest annual sporting event were named as the top group of the year.
It’s the first time the volunteer group at the Gold Coast event has claimed the award.
Supercars CEO Shane Howard said: “This recognition comes as a testament to the passion and tireless efforts of the volunteers who worked behind the scenes and around the clock to ensure the smooth operation of the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500.
“The Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 would not be the spectacular event it is without the dedication and hard work of our incredible volunteers.
“This award is a well-deserved acknowledgment of their outstanding contributions.”
This year’s Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 drew a record attendance of 201,971 fans over three days of racing on the famous Surfers Paradise street circuit.
The Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 returns in 2024 from 25-27 October.
More awards will be announced over this weekend at the final event of the 2023 Repco Supercars Championship, the VAILO Adelaide 500.
Tickets are still available through Ticketek. The event is being broadcast live on Foxtel and the Seven Network, with live streaming available through Kayo and 7plus.
