Boost Mobile Australia, the Official Telecommunications Carrier of the Repco Supercars Championship has unveiled upgraded payouts for drivers securing pole position at upcoming events throughout the season.

Stepping up the rewards for the fastest drivers in Australian motorsport underscores Boost Mobile's commitment to highlighting the extraordinary skill and bravery displayed by the sport’s best drivers on the track.

Big payouts are slated for the three remaining events on the 2024 Supercars calendar, beginning with October’s Repco Bathurst 1000, where the pole sitter will receive a remarkable $15,000 SIM card cheque from Boost Mobile.

The big bounty equals the largest payout for pole position in the Supercars era of the Great Race.

A fortnight later, pole position for the two races at the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 will pay $6500 each, with a further $5000 each to be awarded to pole sitters at the VAILO Adelaide 500.

The driver with the most pole positions across the 2024 Supercars season will be crowned the Boost Mobile Pole Champion and will receive the Boost Mobile "Golden Helmet" along with a $25,000 prize.

Tickford Racing driver Cam Waters currently leads the Boost Mobile Pole tally with five, closely followed by Triple Eight Race Engineering's Broc Feeney with four poles.

“At Boost Mobile, we are deeply committed to supporting and rewarding the best and bravest drivers in Australian motorsport,” said Boost Mobile founder Peter Adderton.

“The commitment drivers display in the battle for Boost Mobile Pole is always a thrill for fans, and with the biggest events of the year coming up it is only right for us to reward the drivers for pushing themselves and their cars to the limit to entertain us.

“We look forward to seeing drivers and teams throwing everything at it to pick up the big cheques and Boost Mobile Poles across the rest of the season.”

A two-time Bathurst 1000 pole sitter and current Boost Mobile Pole leader, Waters is eagerly looking forward to his chances at adding more Boost Mobile Poles to his resume.

“Winning pole in Supercars is a huge reward in itself, so it’s really cool to see Boost Mobile recognise the effort we go to as drivers and teams for it,” Waters said.

“The Shootout is such a cool part of our sport, it’s one lap to lay it all on the line and hopefully come away with the top spot.

“P1’s always great, but a big SIM card cheque from Boost Mobile will definitely give us a bit more motivation to really go for it.

“We’ve been pretty good in Shootouts over the last couple years, and I want that Gold Helmet and $25,000, so hopefully we can add a few more Boost Mobile Poles to our collection and finish the year strong.”

The next Boost Mobile Pole will be awarded following the Boost Mobile Top Ten Shootout on Saturday, October 12 at the Repco Bathurst 1000.

On-track action at the Great Race gets underway Thursday, October 10, with the 1000-kilometre enduro epic to take place Sunday, October 13.

Tickets and corporate experiences can be purchased via Supercars.com and Ticketek.
