Bumper family fun for Gold Coast 500

The streets of Surfers Paradise are set to come alive with colour, action, and plenty of off-track fun for families.

The Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 will feature a bumper line-up of entertainment for Supercars’ littlest fans across October 28-30. Tickets are on sale now.

The fan-favourite SuperKids Zone will be trackside at the event, offering kids from three years and over the opportunity to enjoy a combination of racing-inspired activities, with a chill out space for parents.

On Macintosh Island, even the youngest Supercars fan will be able to test their skills behind the wheel.

That includes an inflatable racetrack with bikes, trikes and carts, a speed reaction game, table top activities focusing on patience and skills of steering, and the SuperKids Pit Stop Challenge.

When:  From 10am on Friday, Saturday and Sunday 

Where: Macintosh Island 

Families can be a part of the Gold Coast’s biggest party, with all children aged 12 and under receiving free entry with a paying adult.

Please note the Boost Mobile Club 500 entertainment precinct is for 18 years and over only.  

Free travel is also available for children under the age of 12 who are accompanying an adult holding an event ticket or accreditation pass.

Families can get up close tot he action with a Pit Lane Walk, providing a behind-the-scenes look at the Supercars pit lane, cars, garages and some of your favourite drivers.

Supercars will be on track alongside three premier support categories; the Porsche Carrera Cup, V8 SuperUtes and S5000.

On track entertainment includes the world-renowned stunt king, Matt Mingay and the Hot Wheels Stunt Team performing drift and bike demonstrations, and performances by some of Australia’s top gravity-defying stunt riders from Showtime Entertainment and Airtime FMX. 

Off track entertainment includes Airtime FMX and BMX in Ferny Avenue, Jet ski, flyboard and wakeboarding in the Nerang River, and Boost Mobile FMX Stunt Team at the beach area.

Families can get close to the action with a pit lane walk

There will be plenty of action in the skies with displays by the Australian Defence Force Parachute School, an Army helicopter flyover, and an aerobatics performance from reigning Red Bull Air Race world champion Matt Hall. 

The broader entertainment package will include merchandise alley, and food and beverage facilities.

All entertainment and the SuperKids Zone are free with every ticket.

The Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 will be held 28-30 October and broadcast live on Fox Sports and the Seven Network.
