Repco Bathurst 1000 start time confirmed

The Repco Bathurst 1000 race start time has been locked in as part of the this year's event schedule.

This year’s Bathurst classic will be held on October 6-9, returning the Great Race to its traditional date.

The 161-lap race, the 30th race of the season, will start at 11:15am local time (AEDT) on Sunday October 9.

Tickets for the Repco Bathurst 1000 are available on Supercars.com and Ticketek.

The 11:15am start time is the same as the 2016, 2017 and 2018 races.

Last year’s race, held on Sunday December 5, was the latest ever Great Race at 12:15pm local time.

The 2020 race, held in late October, was also scheduled to start at 11:30am local time.

However, it was brought forward amid the threat of inclement weather.

The 2019 race kicked off at 11:30am.

Unlike all other Supercars races, the Repco Bathurst 1000 does not have a time certain cut-off.

The race commenced at 10:00am local time between 1979 and 2006.

It was moved to 10:30am in 2007 in the first year of the Seven Network covering the race in the modern era.

It was then moved to 11:00am in 2015, before starting at 11:15am between 2016 and 2018.

Supercars will run six one-hour practice sessions; three of them will be for Additional Drivers only.

ARMOR ALL Qualifying will commence at 4:15pm on Friday October 7.

The Top Ten Shootout will commence off at 5:05pm on Saturday October 8.

All sessions will be broadcast live on Fox Sports and streamed via Kayo.

The Seven Network will broadcast the race live.
