Blockbuster Adelaide entertainment confirmed

The first Adelaide 500 in nearly three years will be headlined by three nights of blockbuster entertainment.

The VALO Adelaide 500 will end the 2022 Repco Supercars Championship on December 1-4.

The 2022 event was launched at Victoria Square on Tuesday.

There, ticket prices were slashed to decade-low prices. Tickets van be purchased at Ticketek or Supercars.com.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday night concerts of the December event will each feature major names.

Superstar US rock band The Killers will headline the Sunday night concert.

Lime Cordiale, The Presets, Baker Boy and Teenage Joans will set Adelaide alight on Friday night.

Saturday December 3, the first race day of the weekend, will feature a legendary all-Australian line-up.

ARIA Hall of Famers Jimmy Barnes and Icehouse will be joined by Noiseworks.

Six local acts will also be announced to join the huge line-up of artists as part of the MusicSA Bands on Track incentive.

"This really is a star-studded list of local, national and global musical acts to mark the return of the VALO Adelaide 500,” South Australian Premier Peter Malinauskas said.

"And the best bit is South Australians can experience all of this for the same price as it was a decade ago.

"I can’t wait for the VALO Adelaide 500 to return to our city streets, bringing with it hundreds of jobs, thousands of visitors and millions of dollars’ worth of economic activity."
