McLaren CEO and Walkinshaw Andretti United director Zak Brown is not ruling out the possibility of fielding a future Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 entry for Aussie F1 star Daniel Ricciardo.

The seven-time Grand Prix winner will move from Renault to McLaren next year, joining Lando Norris in a popular and talented driver line-up.
Norris has developed an appreciation for Supercars in recent weeks, contesting three successive rounds of the BP Supercars All Stars Eseries.
Now the prospect of an eventual Ricciardo/Norris pairing at Bathurst has been floated, and Brown is by no means shooting down the scenario.

“Well, I think they would both love to do it,” Brown told Supercars SideTracked.
“And I think people now know I’m a little bit different than most of the team bosses in F1 because I like to see our drivers go out and give it a go in Daytona or Le Mans, things like that.
“So I think it will just come down to schedule and whether they can fit it in the schedule.
“Bathurst historically conflicts with Japan, so sometimes I’m there and sometimes I’m not.
“I’d love to see him do it there so let’s see. For sure they will get a go in my Holden.”
Among the cars in Brown’s impressive collection is the VE Commodore that won the 2011 Great Race with Garth Tander and Nick Percat at the wheel.
WAU showed last year their willingness to put together a wildcard program, with IndyCar drivers Alexander Rossi and James Hinchcliffe racing together at the Mountain through the squad’s Andretti Autosport alliance.
