Outright pace took a back seat as teams ran through their final preparations.

The 161-lap race will commence at 11:15am local time.

Davison was the only driver to set a lap below the 2:23s mark.

It was the first running since Saturday afternoon’s Practice 6, given the Shootout was washed out.

Davison recorded a 2:22.459s in the closing minutes to unseat James Golding.

PremiAir Racing driver Golding led the way into the closing minutes with a 2:23.185s.

Will Brown, who crashed on Friday, split the Golding and Shane van Gisbergen cars in the closing minutes.

The times dropped late on, and it was Davison - who also topped Practice 1 and Practice 3 - who emerged quickest in the greasy conditions.

Davison, who is racing with older brother Alex, will start Sunday's race from fifth.

Lee Holdsworth moved to second in the closing seconds; he will start the race second, and is driving with rookie Matt Payne.

Cam Waters, who will start from pole position, moved to eighth in the Warm Up late on.

Every team took the opportunity to run co-drivers for at least part of the 20-minute session.

Pit stop practice, involving driver and brake disc changes, formed a big part of the session.

There were no major incidents on track, with Warren Luff running long at Murray’s Corner.

The Jake Kostecki/Kurt Kostecki #56 Ford did not set a timed lap in the Warm Up.

The repaired Jack Le Brocq/Aaron Seton #34 Commodore also suffered gremlins during the Warm Up.

Seton crashed the car heavily during Saturday morning's Practice 5, with the team opting out of the later session.

Le Brocq reported issues with binding under heavy load.

The session was held following overnight trackwork, with work completed to enhance drainage for the race.

Saturday's Shootout was cancelled following torrential rain in the afternoon.

A massive downpour hit Bathurst following Practice 6, with standing water of particular concern.

Rain is also forecast for Sunday's race.
