Anton De Pasquale has carried on his strong form in Sydney with the fastest time in Practice 1.

It was the only lap of the session in the 1:29s bracket.

The 30-minute session, held in the heat of the afternoon, featured a stoppage midway through for Fabian Coulthard's stranded car.

De Pasquale was the first to set a representative time with a 1:30.584s on his first run.

Whincup slotted in behind with a 1:30.801s, with Shane van Gisbergen a further 0.2s adrift.

Percat split the Red Bull Ampol Racing entries with a 1:30.895s on his second run before Coulthard pulled off at Turn 4.

Coulthard's #19 Local Legends Commodore was later revealed to have been suffering a fuel pressure issue.
