The star-studded entertainment line-up for the 2022 VALO Adelaide continues to grow with the announcement of the Boost Mobile Freestyle BMX Invitational.

Fans will be able to be a part of a world-class BMX competition at the Repco Supercars Championship finale.

December's return to the streets of Adelaide will provide a fitting venue for the first-ever Boost Mobile Freestyle BMX Invitational. CLICK HERE to purchase tickets.

Top 5 to watch in Adelaide

The special competition will see some of the world’s elite BMX athletes battle it out to test their skills across all five BMX disciplines: street, flatland, trails, vert and park.

Sanctioned by AusCycling, the competition will offer a prize pool of $50,000 and has attracted leading freestyle riders from across the globe, including gold, silver and bronze medallists from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Crowds are set to be wowed by competitors with special air tricks on full display, including the tabletop, superman, superman seat grab, tail whip, bar spin, backflip, front flip, flair, decade, and many more.

Olympic Gold medallist and Australia’s own Logan Martin headlines the entry list and is set to thrill crowds with his epic freestyle skills.

Other marquee competitors include the USA’s BMX godfather Pat Casey, Great Britain’s Kieran Reilly and Japan’s Rim Nakamura, along with Australian Freestyle legend Kyle Baldock.

Australian rider and competitor Jaie Toohey is buoyed by the opportunity to contest a world-class BMX event on home soil.

“There’s nothing more I love than competing on home soil, and to have the chance to ride at a massive event like the VALO Adelaide 500 is a huge privilege,” Toohey said.

“The competition line-up at the Boost Mobile Freestyle BMX Invitational is seriously impressive.

“All the riders will be vying for bragging rights to be the first winner of the Freestyle BMX Invitational – myself included!

“I think I can speak for all riders when I say we’ll be putting on a show for everyone and I can’t wait to hit the ramps in December.”

Eventgoers are encouraged to take their seats in the Heritage Grandstand across the four days of competition to watch the Boost Mobile Freestyle BMX Invitational unfold.

The Boost Mobile Freestyle BMX Invitational at the VALO Adelaide 500 will be the penultimate event ahead of the BMX Freestyle World Cup to be held on the Gold Coast in December.
