Scott Pye’s Team 18 entry will feature new naming rights for the coming rounds.
Team 18 announced Wednesday that Pye’s #20 Commodore will be adorned by Nulon Products Australia branding.
Nulon has stepped up its support of the team, and will back Pye’s car for the next seven rounds.
The new-look car will make its racing debut at this weekend’s Bunnings Trade Perth SuperNight.
It comes after Pye’s car rolled through three different naming rights backers in as many rounds to commence 2022.
The #20 entry previously featured naming rights backing from Seiko and Hino.
Nulon first appeared on the #20 Commodore in 2020, with the partnership now into its third season.
The #20 Nulon Commodore will continue with support from Toyota Forklifts, Hino, Yuasa Batteries, Mondiale VGL, Kenworth, Goodyear Fleet, BP Ultimate, Waverley Forklifts, Barry Bourke Motors, Credence Insurance, Alpinestars, Taubmans, Super Spill Solutions, Bell Collision, D2N, Ball & Doggett, K&N Filters, King Springs, Bolle Safety, Authentic Collectables, Out There Branding, Ozwide Joinery, Air and Allied Sales and StylePrint.
Pye is 16th heading to this weekend’s event in Perth.
"I’m incredibly excited to be representing Nulon in their first title sponsorship in Supercars," Pye said.
"For us at Team 18 it goes well beyond the sponsorship, it’s been a long-standing relationship so personally I’m very proud to have Nulon on the side of the car as naming rights, not just for the one event either, they’ve committed to a number of events and I’m excited to get underway in Perth and hopefully do it justice.
"It’s really cool to have an Australian-made brand like Nulon partner with myself and the team in what is the farewell year of the Commodore in Supercars.
"It’s exciting to see what’s going to happen next year with the Camaro but it’s cool to have an Australian-made product on the car in its final year.
"Our season started off pretty tough. There’s no hiding the fact that Sydney Motorsport Park didn’t go to plan, but we made good progress rebounding in Tasmania and the Grand Prix was pretty consistent, we’ve had great car speed and we’ve improved our reliability so I’m looking forward to what’s to come in this championship."
Team owner Charlie Schwerkolt added: "We’re extremely proud to welcome Nulon onboard as our naming rights partner on Scott Pye’s Nulon Racing Commodore for Perth through to Auckland.
"Nulon share a critical partnership with the team as our official oil partner for Scott’s car. Nulon are a great Australian success story and their relentless testing and development has seen them produce some of the world’s highest performance engine oils, and what better place to test their products than one of the best touring car championships in the world."
Tony Batt, General Manager Product & Marketing - Nulon Products Australia, was delighted to have his brand step up its backing of Schwerkolt’s squad.
"Nulon are delighted to expand our support of Team 18 and Scott Pye under the Nulon Racing banner in 2022," Batt said.
"Our Team 18 partnership is now in its third year and taking the next step as naming rights sponsor on car #20 is an exciting development.
"Nulon is a brand that is passionate about high-performance and pushing the limits. Team 18 shares those values, and we look forward to some hard racing and great results in 2022."
