James Courtney will sport a new livery and number for his milestone weekend.
Courtney will carry FLEX Power Tools on his Tickford Racing Mustang at the Beaurepaires Melbourne 400.
The 2010 series champion will record race start No. 500 on Friday.
Tickford has honoured Courtney by renumbering his car to #500 this weekend.
Courtney traditionally runs with Tickford’s famous #5.
The 15-time race winner’s car has backing from FLEX Power Tools, which specialises in the industrial power tools sector.
The German-founded brand was originally established in 1922, and is notable for pioneering into the first angle grinder.
Courtney will become the ninth driver in ATCC/Supercars history to make 500 race starts.
"It’s fantastic to have FLEX Power Tools on board our Mustang,” he said.
"It’s a bit of a bonus because I’ve been doing some work on the house up in Queensland, I’d be lying if I said there weren’t a few products that caught my eye, so we’ll keep that chat going.
"I’m really looking forward to this weekend, what with it being the Australian Grand Prix and ticking over 500 races myself.
“It’s going to be a huge weekend and the FLEX Mustang looks great.
"The team’s had some success at Albert Park in recent years and the cars have been pretty speedy, obviously we’ll be looking to keep that trend going and be fighting at the front in our new colours.”
It marks the third livery change for this weekend's event following new schemes for Scott Pye and Macauley Jones.
FLEX general manager Barry Crowhurst was excited to see the brand’s debut in Supercars.
"The Australian Grand Prix is one of Australia’s biggest events, and James Courtney is one of Australia’s most successful drivers,” Crowhurst said.
“So to support his car and Tickford Racing at this event is a hugely exciting opportunity for FLEX.
"FLEX is celebrating its centenary in 2022 but is very new to Australia.
"I can’t think of a better way to introduce FLEX to Australians than through a loud, V8-powered Supercar adorned in FLEX branding at the Australian Grand Prix.
"We’re thrilled to be joining forces with Tickford Racing and cannot wait for the weekend ahead.”
The Beaurepaires Melbourne 400 will commence with Practice 1 on Thursday morning.
