Kids will be armed with the chance to compete at the VALO Adelaide 500 in the maii Little Le Mans Cup.

The one-make pedal cars will race on track on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at the VALO Adelaide 500 in three races.

The maii Little Le Mans Cup will see 60 children given the chance to race against each other on three separate occasions.

The kids races have been inspired by global pedal car races at motorsport events across the world.

The races will further showcase VALO Adelaide 500’s rich history and commitment to inspiring kids and encouraging them to get involved in motorsport.

VALO Adelaide 500 Chief Executive Mark Warren said: “We cannot wait to give 60 kids the chance to live out their racing dreams and be a part of the VALO Adelaide 500.

“With this being the first event in almost three years, we wanted to organise something special and acknowledge how important children and families are to the make-up of this iconic event.

The VALO Adelaide 500 RETURNS

“We’re hoping that by giving these kids a small taste of what it’s like to be a motor racing driver, it may spark a passion to continue to be involved in the sport.

“As we move closer to the VALO Adelaide 500, this new initiative is just the latest in a series of announcements we look forward to rolling out.”

Participating drivers will be given the full racing experience in either a little Ford Mustang or Chevrolet Camaro.

There, they will be decked out in a full race suit, helmet and gloves.

The winner of each race will take home a trophy.
