Virgin Australia Supercars Championship leader Fabian Coulthard is in for a big October.

The 34-year-old has announced on social media that he and partner Becky Lamb are expecting twins.

They are due to arrive during an already busy month for all Supercars drivers as they tackle the showpiece Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 and Gold Coast 600 events.

‪We will have both hands full by the end of October!! @Becky_Lamb and I will be adding two members to the Fab Pack! #Twins #FabPack #VASC ‬

A Supercars driver for more than a decade, Coulthard is enjoying his best shot at championship success thanks to the rise of Shell V-Power Racing.

He currently sits four points clear of Red Bull's Jamie Whincup in the standings after a start to the season that has included wins at Symmons Plains and Phillip Island.

Lamb is also a long-time member of the Supercars paddock, working as a promotional model and presenter on the big screen coverage at various events.

This year has already seen Garry Rogers Motorsport driver James Moffat become a parent for the first time, with wife Leah giving birth to a boy, Max, on the eve of the Phillip Island event.
