Of the 25 signed drivers for the 2022 season, 17 have made 100 or more race starts, with 10 making 100 or more round appearances.

Three 2022 contracted drivers are in line to bring up 500 race starts, a feat achieved by just eight drivers in ATCC/Supercars history.

The 2022 season is slated to feature 13 rounds, an increase on the 12 in 2021.

The 13-event 2022 Repco Supercars Championship will commence in Sydney in March. CLICK HERE to purchase your tickets.

500 races

James Courtney (494 race starts), Will Davison (484) and Lee Holdsworth (476) are all in line to bring up the magical ‘500’ in 2022.

Fabian Coulthard (470) was also set to reach 500 starts before he was replaced by Chris Pither at PremiAir Racing.

Courtney, Davison and Holdsworth made their 220th, 220th and 214th round starts respectively in 2021.

Only eight drivers in history have made 500 or more starts; Craig Lowndes (674), Garth Tander (641), Russell Ingall (588), Rick Kelly (580), Jason Bright (577), Mark Winterbottom (558), Jamie Whincup (553) and Todd Kelly (541).

Shane van Gisbergen’s first race of his title defence in Newcastle will be his 450th race start.

He will become just the 15th driver to achieve the feat, and third New Zealander after Coulthard and Steven Richards.

Three drivers are in line to bring up 150 race starts.

Matt Stone Racing recruit Jack Le Brocq (136 race starts) will get there first, ahead of Todd Hazelwood (125) and Anton De Pasquale (120).
