It has been nearly three years since Supercars last visited Western Australia, and reporter Riana Crehan is counting down the days until she returns to her home state.
Wanneroo Raceway will host the upcoming Bunnings Trade Perth SuperNight.
The event will be significant for Gold Coast-based Crehan, who has spent little time in hometown Perth since 2020 due to state border restrictions.
"I’m excited anytime I can get back to Perth, I love it," Crehan told Supercars.com.
"It's not like I get to go there very often, so the fact that we are finally getting to go back there with Supercars, I'm so excited and looking forward to it.
"For me, I want to get home so I can see my family and spend some time with them, but it's awesome that Supercars is finally getting back to Perth.

"They [West Australians] have had it tough with pretty strict border restrictions over the last couple of years.
“For Supercars to be able to get back over there and see the fans, who really embrace it, it's going to be a really cool event."
Crehan grew up up near Wanneroo Raceway; the popular pit lane reporter says the Western Australian track delivers something "unique" for fans.
"Wanneroo has a bit of a Queensland Raceway vibe about it," Crehan explained.
"If you are a spectator, there are some great vantage points where you can sit up on the hill and watch pretty much most of the track.
"We don't really have a lot of tracks like that left, so I think Perth is one of those unique circuits where you can be sitting on the hill with your mates and be able to have a really good vantage point.
"Perth always offers up really good racing as well, and we've had some pretty significant moments there.
"The Karl Reindler fire, which was just horrific, I think when people think of Perth, they always think of that incident.
"There's always been intense tyre degradation there as well, and that's always a big talking point.
"Going back this year, seeing the fans, and having night race, that's going to be exciting for everyone."
It marks the first time Crehan has returned to Perth since the final episode of Seven Network’s popular reality programme SAS Australia went to air last month.
After weeks of brutal challenges, the 35-year-old’s tenacity and determination made her one of only three recruits to pass the gruelling selection course.
Speaking further about how she will spend time with family while back in Perth, Crehan added: "We probably won't be able to get to do it this time around, but we love Rottnest Island.
"It is probably one of my favourite places in the world.
"Every time we come for a holiday, we always try to get over there even if it is just a day trip, to go snorkelling or things like that.
"I don't think that will be on the list this time around, but Perth has so much to offer, it has changed so much since I was a kid.
"The restaurants are awesome, my brother-in-law owns a restaurant called Pancho's, which is a Mexican restaurant.
"It's kind of become a tradition that Sunday night of a Perth race meeting, we all go there and have dinner as a family, and no doubt we will be doing that again this year."
