Monday October 4 at 6.00pm: 2002 New Zealand Race 25
Mark Skaife started from pole for the opening race at Pukekohe with New Zealand home hero Greg Murphy in third.
Heartbreak struck for Dick Johnson Racing before the first corner, with Paul Radisch sent into the barrier after contact with teammate Steven Johnson.
Both DJR drivers were out of the race just seconds after the lights went out.
Skaife would go on to win the race, which was his 15th victory of the season.
Tuesday October 5 at 6.00pm: 2002 New Zealand Race 26
Murphy lined up alongside pole-sitter Skaife for the second race in New Zealand.
Skaife led the field in the opening stint, while Craig Lowndes was turned around on the opening lap.
Larry Perkins beached himself at the hairpin on lap 25, with the Safety Car deployed.
Skaife reported a dropped cylinder, retiring to pit lane and handing Murphy the lead.
Wednesday October 6 at 6.00pm: 2002 New Zealand Race 27
Murphy started from pole for the final race at Pukekohe alongside HRT driver Jason Bright.
Todd Kelly made it a Kmart Commodore one-two off the line, getting the jump on Bright.
Skaife’s bad luck continued, with the HRT veteran running wide at the hairpin on lap 16. He was forced to retire for the second time.
Glenn Seton found the barriers on lap 30, removing it and exposing the wooden spikes holding it down.
Unaware of the danger, several drivers cut across the curb and were forced to dive into the pits with flat tyres.
Kelly took victory, but Murphy claimed his second successive round win in New Zealand.
Thursday October 7 at 6.00pm: 2003 Phillip Island Race 3
The second round of the 2003 season saw mixed weather conditions for a 300km lap race.
It was a front-row lockout for HRT, with Skaife starting from pole. He comfortably led the first half of the race until he was handed a drive-through penalty for speeding in pit lane.
It promoted the Team Brock Commodore of Bright into the lead. Showers hit towards the closing stages and a well-timed pit strategy put Bright in the box seat to win.
However, he made contact trying to pass a struggling, slick-tyred Marcos Ambrose.
The torrential conditions meant the race was soon brought under Safety Car conditions. It was eventually red-flagged 14 laps short of full distance.
Lowndes was declared the winner, with Ford Performance Racing clinching its first ever race and round win.
