Tickford Racing driver Cam Waters has called on fans to support a regional karting club after significant damage left its track unusable.
Located on the Far South Coast of New South Wales, the Sapphire Coast Kart Club is dedicated to the development of young racers aged seven years and above.
Following heavy rain, the Frogs Hollow venue has been forced to cancel its upcoming round due to the damages.
A Go Fund Me page has since been created to raise funds for the costly maintenance.
Posting to his social media accounts on Thursday, Mildura-born ace Waters highlighted the cause.
"My 2015 engineer Adam De Borre needs some help," Waters posted.
"Their local kart track has been damaged.
"The track is unusable, and they need help and support to get it back up and running.
"Karting is where most drivers start their journey, and it would be great to support this little club in its time of need."
Waters kicked off his racing career in go-karts, collecting multiple national and state championships before graduating to Formula Vee in 2009.
Many Supercars drivers turn to karts to stay sharp in between Supercars events, with Brodie Kostecki and Anton De Pasquale racing in Ipswich last month.
Todd Hazelwood is also a regular karter, making his competitive return alongside Jake Kostecki at the Queensland Kart Championships last September.
