DJR Team Penske has announced a major partnership with the world market leader of assembly and fastening material, Wurth Australia. Coupled with this announcement is a unique synergy between the Australian-based V8 Supercars team and USA-based Team Penske organisation.

The No. 17 Ford Falcon of Marcos Ambrose will carry naming right sponsorship from Wurth for the prestigious Australian Grand Prix meeting in Melbourne and two weeks later the 'homecoming' V8 Supercars Championship event for Ambrose in his native Tasmania. The weekend in between the two Australian events will see the No. 2 Ford Fusion of Brad Keselowski race in the Wurth livery at the Auto Club 400 in Fontana in round 5 of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series - a truly global partnership between Wurth and Team Penske.

DJR Team Penske was able to confirm that Wurth has entered a long term, strategic arrangement withthe V8 Supercars team.

"We are delighted that long time Dick Johnson Racing partner Wurth has become our naming rights sponsor for the next two events, and more importantly agreed to come on board as an ongoing partner in a multi-year deal," DJR Team Penske Managing Director Ryan Story said.

"The rollout of the Wurth partnership and livery after our very successful Clipsal 500 with Shell, cements the strategy of bringing together great brands in a more contemporary, marketing focused program."

Speaking at Wurth's Melbourne Head Office, Australian and New Zealand CEO Serge Oppedisano said, "This is a landmark partnership with DJR Team Penske for Wurth.

"We know our staff and customers are passionate Motorsport fans, and are confident that the brand values shared between the Penske organisation and Wurth Australia, of quality and professionalism represent a unique partnership. Today, Wurth has a vibrant business in Australia with over 450 sales staff but coupled with DJR Team Penske, we now have the ability to extend our brand and passion for success into the public arena. The brand association with our customers of today and tomorrow demonstrates our commitment to growth within the Australian pacific market place."
