The 2021 Repco Bathurst 1000 has been officially launched at Mount Panorama.

Ten cars assembled on the grid at the iconic circuit, which will host the final round of the 2021 Repco Supercars Championship this weekend.

This year's Repco Bathurst 1000 will run over six days at Mount Panorama, seeing nine support categories contesting races across every day of the event.

One example from the Dunlop Super2 Series, Porsche Carrera Cup, Toyota Gazoo Racing 86 Series, Touring Car Racing, Touring Car Masters, S5000, GTWCA, SuperUtes and TransAm lined up on Repco Pit Straight on Monday to celebrate the historic blockbuster festival of motorsport.

On track action will kick off on Tuesday November 30, leading up to the Great Race on December 5, marking the 64th running of the event.

Defending Bathurst 1000 champions Shane van Gisbergen and Garth Tander will be aiming to become the first drivers since Craig Lowndes and Jamie Whincup to win consecutive Great Races.

Fans are being welcomed back to Mount Panorama, with all spectator areas and campgrounds open across the six-day event.

Van Gisbergen, who won last year's Great Race amid the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, is relishing the traditional Bathurst atmosphere.

“Seeing the grandstands back at the circuit and people already camping on a Monday, we missed that last year,” van Gisbergen said.

“My favourite session here is the Top Ten Shootout.

“I’ve been lucky enough to be one of the last cars out in the last few years, and when you see the crowd react to the green and red box, and how excited they get it just pumps you up.

“The atmosphere and that session is normally epic, I love that, and I missed that last year.

“So hopefully it is the same this year.”

Van Gisbergen and Red Bull Ampol Racing have clinched the 2021 drivers’ and teams’ titles.

Supercars set to hit the track at for Practice 1 on Thursday December 2.

The race itself will commence at 12:15pm AEDT on December, which will be the latest ever start for a Bathurst 1000.

The 2021 Repco Supercars Championship and Dunlop Series seasons will conclude at the Repco Bathurst 1000.

Foxtel’s coverage of the Repco Bathurst 1000 begins at 8:25am AEDT on Wednesday December 1 (Fox Sports 503) and streamed on Kayo.
