Winton Raceway has issued a statement today, confirming this weekend’s SuperSprint is going ahead with fans in attendance as planned in Victoria’s North.
Supercars and the Benalla Auto Club (BAC) continue to actively monitor the situation in Melbourne and the latter has been working with the relevant authorities since the COVID cases were first reported in Melbourne earlier this week.

On Wednesday, BAC released a statement saying the event is still able to proceed with fans able to attend as planned.
“Our advice this morning from the Victorian Government Regional Events Team is that the Winton SuperSprint can proceed as normal as a Tier 1-approved public event.
“The restrictions announced for Melbourne yesterday apply to public gatherings, which is different to a public event.
“Once inside the Winton Raceway precinct, our approved COVID plan is in effect with QR codes and tracing data available should it be required.”
Supercars and the Benalla Auto Club are pleased the event will be run in accordance with a Victorian Government COVID Safe Plan.
