Dunlop Series to return to Ipswich, Tasmania in 2025
Rising stars of Supercars to contest six-round series
Season starts in Sydney, ends on Adelaide streets
The next generation of Supercars stars will contest a six-round Dunlop Super2 Series season in 2025, with events taking place across some of Australia’s most renowned circuits.
The Series will visit Sydney, Tasmania, Townsville, Ipswich, Bathurst, and Adelaide, testing drivers on a range of street and permanent circuits in diverse conditions.
The season will commence at Sydney Motorsport Park from February 21-23 and conclude with the streets of Adelaide from November 27-30, where a new Series Champion will be crowned.
The 2025 calendar sees the return of two fan-favourite locations – Ipswich and Tasmania.
Ipswich last featured in 2019, where current Supercars drivers Bryce Fullwood and Thomas Randle split race victories.
It was Randle’s first-ever Super2 win, driving a Tickford Racing FG X Falcon, while Fullwood went on to claim the Dunlop Super2 Series title that year.
Tasmania last hosted the Super2 Series in 2018, when a 20-year-old Super2 rookie named Brodie Kostecki claimed his first-ever podium in a Supercar, finishing second in a Kostecki Brothers Racing VF Commodore.
Kostecki has since gone on to win the 2023 Repco Supercars Championship and achieve two Bathurst 1000 podiums in 2021 and 2023.
Currently, 2023 Champion Kai Allen is in the box seat for back-to-back Dunlop Super2 Series titles holding a 126-point lead over Walkinshaw Andretti United’s Zach Bates with two rounds remaining (Bathurst and Adelaide).
Allen and fellow current Dunlop Series driver Cooper Murray have both confirmed their place on the Repco Supercars Championship grid in 2025 with Grove Racing and Erebus Motorsport respectively, following the well-worn path other current competitors in the main game have taken to reach the pinnacle of Australian Motorsport.
Dunlop Super2 Series Category Manager Jason Routley said: “The 2025 calendar reflects our ongoing commitment to providing the best development platform for emerging drivers.
“With the return of Ipswich and Tasmania, we’re giving competitors a well-rounded mix of circuits, each offering its own unique challenge.
“These are tracks where some of today’s Supercars champions first made their mark, and we’re looking forward to seeing who will rise to the occasion next year.”
The 2025 Dunlop Super2 Series will begin at the season opening event in Sydney on 21-23 February. A waiting list for fans wanting to secure tickets to 2025 Repco Supercars Championship events can be found by clicking here.
