Reuben Goodall to replace Brad Vaughan at Tickford Autosport next year
Lochie Dalton, Rylan Gray both to continue on for another season
Vaughan's future now uncertain
Tickford Autosport has confirmed its driver line up for the 2025 Dunlop Super2 Series on the eve of the 2024 season finale.
As expected, Lochie Dalton and Rylan Gray will return to the Tickford junior team for next year, and will be joined by new recruit Reuben Goodall.
Goodall made his Dunlop Series debut at the start of the season for Gomersall Motorsport, and is currently sitting 14th in the standings in his rookie season.
The Adelaide local will conclude his debut season at his home event at the VAILO Adelaide 500, before Gomersall Motorsport's chassis returns to Triple Eight's hands as one of its two Super2 entries next year.
Goodall will replace fellow South Australian Brad Vaughan in the three-car Tickford line up next year, with Vaughan's future now uncertain.
The former Toyota 86 and V8 SuperUte star expressed his excitement at joining the storied Campbellfield team next year alongside two proven talents.
“I am super excited and honoured to be joining Tickford for 2025. They’ve hit some fantastic form toward the back end of 2024, winning a race at Sandown and the round at Bathurst," Goodall said.
"Clearly, they run a fantastic program, and I cannot wait to get amongst it. My expectations don’t fall short of their recent form; I'd like to be fighting for podiums at every round, with a focus on finishing every race to secure a strong championship result.”
Dalton, who had hinted at a Tickford return a few weeks ago, is also excited to return to the team, having made his Repco Supercars Championship at Sydney as a wildcard entry and currently sitting ninth in the standings.
"I'm pumped to go again with the team at Tickford and excited for another shot at the championship," Dalton said.
"We had a strong year in the car, and I’m looking forward to building on that momentum into 2025. I’ll definitely miss working with Brad, but I'm looking forward to welcoming Reuben to the team.”
Entering this season as a highly touted rookie, Gray has continued to improve over the course of the year, and became the youngest ever Super2 round winner last time out at Bathurst aged just 17 years, 10 months, and 21 days old.
Having also impressed in a Mustang in GT4 competition, the teenager from the Hunter Valley is aiming to push further towards the front in 2025.
“I’m thrilled to be back with Tickford Racing in 2025. After a big year of learning, I’m ready to hit the ground running and make the most of the season ahead," Gray said.
"We’ve gained serious momentum, and I’m excited to push even further. It’s been a strong year in the car, and I can’t wait to see what we’ll achieve together next season.”
Tickford Racing CEO Simon Brookhouse has also welcomed new recruit Goodall, as Tickford continue to invest in the next generation of Supercars stars alongside main game pilots Cam Waters and Thomas Randle.
“It’s fantastic to have Rylan and Lochie re-signed for 2025, now joined by Reuben," Brookhouse said.
"All three drivers have shown they mean business and are determined to reach the next stage of their careers. That’s exactly what our Autosport program is all about: supporting their ambitions and providing the best possible opportunities to get there.
"Developing these up-and-coming drivers and shaping the next generation of star talent is at the heart of what we want this program to represent. We believe 2025 is set to be our best year yet.”
