Jaxon Evans will return with SCT Logistics and Brad Jones Racing in 2025, with the Kiwi formally confirmed for a second season.

Evans will conclude his rookie season in the Repco Supercars Championship at this weekend's VAILO Adelaide 500.

The 28-year-old replaced Jack Smith in the SCT Motorsport Chevrolet Camaro for 2024, following a successful Porsche and endurance stint in Europe.

Evans was called up to replace Smith, joined SCT and BJR for the 2022 and 2023 enduros.

A highlight of Evans' rookie campaign was a charge from 17th to 10th on home soil in Taupō, while he has gained a whopping 58 positions across the first 22 races of the year.

Heading to the Adelaide season finale, the rookie sits 23rd, but could end the year as high as 18th with a strong finish to his maiden full-time season in the world's leading touring car championship.

Speaking in a team release, Evans is confident there will be more to come in 2025, having applied plenty of learning in his rookie season.

“Returning for a second season with SCT Logistics and Brad Jones Racing brings a new level of excitement,” Evans said.

“In my rookie year, we’ve been quietly laying down a solid foundation — learning what makes the Gen3 Camaro tick and how the Supercars Championship operates.

“With a full season of experience under my belt I’m feeling more prepared and focused. We’ve taken valuable lessons from every race and as a team we’re building the momentum needed to move up the field.

“I genuinely believe we’re heading in the right direction and ready to take on the challenges that lie ahead.”

Andrew Jones, SCT Logistics Head of Motorsport Programs, said extending with Evans was a sign of the team’s commitment to the New Zealander.

"When we began this journey with Jaxon it was clear that the goals for both he and SCT Motorsport were absolutely aligned from the outset,” Jones explained.

"Jaxon’s continuation as the primary driver for our program in 2025 is an extension of the belief that both parties have in each other for achieving those goals.

“Supercars has proven time and time again to be the most competitive Touring Car category in the world and as such we are required to have the best people across all roles and I genuinely believe we have that within our team.

“In a sport that can be very brutal and not affording of time or loyalty, I would like to also acknowledge the support of Peter, Geoff and Glenn Smith in building the foundations for what Jaxon and the entire SCT Motorsport team will achieve in 2025.”

The 2024 Repco Supercars Championship will be decided at the season-ending VAILO Adelaide 500 on November 14-17. Tickets are on sale now.
