Jack Le Brocq will return to Erebus Motorsport from 2024, with the race-winning driver replacing Triple Eight-bound Will Brown.
Le Brocq’s Erebus move was confirmed shortly after his departure from Matt Stone Racing was announced.
The 31-year-old has proven one of the stars early in the Gen3 era — he is eighth in the championship, and took MSR’s first pole and win, both coming in Darwin.
Signing for Erebus is a reunion of sorts for Le Brocq, who has ties with the Betty Klimenko-owned team.
Le Brocq was an Erebus Academy driver, first in its Australian GT program before racing with Erebus affiliate Image Racing in Super2 in 2014.
The 2012 Formula Ford champion also made his Supercars debut in the 2015 enduros aboard an Erebus AMG Supercar.
Le Brocq also has en existing relationship with team CEO Barry Ryan, stretching beyond the driver's time with Erebus.
He replaces Brown, who was earlier this week confirmed at Triple Eight in the place of the departing Shane van Gisbergen.
Le Brocq (L) and Kostecki will lead Erebus' charge in 2024
Brown is second in the championship behind teammate Brodie Kostecki, who will be joined by Le Brocq from 2024.
The exact length of Le Brocq's Erebus contract hasn't been specified, with Brown joining Red Bull Ampol Racing on a three-year deal.
Kostecki is contracted to the end of 2024, having signed a two-year deal towards the end of last year.
“We have witnessed Jack’s journey and some of his achievements firsthand, and we’re thrilled to welcome him back to the family,” Ryan said.
“Obviously, we still have five rounds remaining this season, and right now our focus in on winning the Drivers' and Teams' Championship.”
Le Brocq added: "Erebus is a team that has been instrumental in my career, and I am excited to re-join them next season.
"I look forward to contributing to Erebus’ ongoing success in 2024, though my immediate focus is on giving my all for the remainder of the 2023 season with my current team.”
Supercars will hit the track at The Bend Motorsport Park for the OTR SuperSprint on Saturday.
Tickets for the South Australian event are on sale now.
