He's gone under the radar the last few rounds, but David Reynolds is well in the Championship fight 282 points away from leader and stable-mate Mark Winterbottom.

The Bottle-O racer took his first race win since 2013 in Darwin and has been consistently up the front this season behind the wheel of his FG X, having recorded a fourth and two sixth place finishes across the Sydney Motorsport Park SuperSprint.

While Reynolds has been one of the standouts, his future with the Prodrive team is not secure, with his contract up at the end of the season - so there are plenty of discussion points with the man who drank champagne from his boot.
