MSR backs Gilliam in Supercars Eseries

Matt Stone Racing has announced a three-driver team for the upcoming Cash Converters Supercars Eseries.

MSR rookies Zane Goddard and Jake Kostecki will split the driving duties in the All Stars Eseries, while pro gamer Andrew Gilliam will represent them on the Pro Series grid.

The new hybrid format will see the All Stars, consisting of Supercars drivers, and the Pro Series competing weekly across six rounds from Wednesday August 25.

An accomplished talent on the iRacing platform, Gilliam won the senior category of the MSR Challenge in 2020.

Gilliam secured five top-five finishes and 11 top ten results in last year's Pro Eseries, reaching a season-best third in Race 5.  The consistent results netted him ninth in the championship standings. 

Gilliam competed in the Supercars Online Premier Series in 2020, where he placed third overall. 

“I am super excited for the opportunity that Matt Stone Racing has given me to have a crack at my second season of the Supercars Eseries," Gilliam said. 

"I really think we can get some strong results with some continued momentum that I had at the end of last year’s series.

“I’m really looking forward to coming in and especially being able to drive with Jake at Bathurst, it will be a really cool and awesome experience.

"Getting to know the team in the workshop and being able to do some testing with Zane and Jake as they begin their preparation as well will be great.”

Supercars drivers Goddard and Kostecki are set to alternate rounds throughout the series, with Kostecki set to complete the Bathurst Enduro round with Gilliam.

The Eseries will take place on the iRacing platform, running over six weekly rounds from August 25th to September 29th.

The Eseries will be broadcast live on Fox Sports 506, Kayo, 7Plus, as well as streamed on Supercars’ Twitch, Facebook and YouTube channels.
