A specially-mounted 360-degree camera has helped Supercars provide a never-before-seen view of the Gen3 prototypes.
The Gen3 Camaro and Mustang took to Townsville for the first time last weekend.
The cars were subjected to the high kerbs and high speeds of the Reid Park Street Circuit.
Ride laps prior to a closed session on Thursday doubled as a key opportunity for Supercars.
The two cars were fitted with specially-designed camera mounts, which were attached to the rear wing.
The mounts were placed on the rear wing brackets, with a mount extending to the rear of the car.

A 360-degree GoPro was attached to the mount, which captured the action.
James Lundie, Supercars’ Digital Senior Video Content Producer, steered the project.
Lundie engaged with the Supercars Motorsport team to design and manufacture the camera mounts.
“It was a humbling moment watching the car roll out, that’s for sure,” Lundie told Supercars.com.
“I’m stoked with the outcome. The ambition was to create a never-seen-before seen angle of the Gen3 cars.
“We’ve all heard from the drivers about how aggressive the cars are. I thought, 'Why not see it for yourself?'

“Townsville was the perfect place to launch the mounts. You can see how much the kerbs disrupt the cars.”
Zane Goddard and Luke Youlden lapped the Mustang and Camaro respectively.
The cars responded in kind to the Townsville track, both prototypes coping with the aggressive circuit.
It was action captured on camera from an angle never previously seen with Gen3.
For Lundie, it was the culmination of months of planning and preparation.
Lundie explained that the aim is to develop the mount and take it to more circuits.
Additionally, not only can unique vision be captured, but Supercars Motorsport staff can use it to aid development of the cars.
"Credit goes to Mitch Timms and Craig Hasted from the Motorsport team for aiding this project,” Lundie said.
“It wasn’t straightforward. There was no out-of-the-box solution to mount the camera.
“We required CAD renders and designs to create one of one mounting rigs to the rear wings.
"The biggest challenge was creating a mount that both fitted the cars securely whilst withstanding the G-forces and kerb forces.
“It’s twofold; the mounts can help development of the prototypes by providing the motorsport team a unique view of certain elements of the car.
“We’re happy with the result, but we’re also keen to take the concept, continue to improve it, and use it again at future events."
