More upgrades are taking place at Queensland Raceway ahead of the Ipswich circuit's long-awaited Supercars return.

The 3.1km circuit will host the eighth round of 2025, and the final round of the Sprint Cup phase of the season.

The circuit has undergone a major facelift since Supercars' last visit in 2019, with Tony Quinn taking over the venue in 2021. Notably, new pit facilities, garages and corporate hospitality suites have been built in recent years, along with ongoing circuit work.

This week, Queensland Raceway revealed further upgrades, with new ripple strips added to the exit of five of its six corners, as well as drainage improvements around the circuit.

Among recent paddock changes are the construction of a new shed and a permanent podium on the pit building.

In a video posted to the circuit's social channels, Quinn was also promising a better experience for fans.

“We have a new catering team starting that promise to offer much better food, better quality food and some good specials,” said Quinn, who also owns Taupō Motorsport Park, which will host Round 3 in April.

“That’s going to be a plus, because that’s always been a bit of a thing for me. The food will be good, the toilets will be as good as you’ve ever expected them.

“We’re building a couple more sheds, there’s a bit of track work going on, a few bumpy bits that we’re sorting out."

Queensland-based Supercars teams have used the circuit for testing in recent years, with Gen3 machinery no stranger to the circuit courtesy of northern squads and category testing.

The 2025 Ipswich Super 440 will host Races 23, 24 and 25 of the 2025 Repco Supercars Championship on August 8-10. Tickets for the event are on sale now.
