West Australian Rullo moved into the lead with five of the 40 minutes remaining, ending the day with a 0.2567-second margin over Davies, with Fullwood 0.2866s adrift.
Among those in the mix for top spot was Super2 rookie Thomas Randle, who pushed into the lead and ultimately finished fourth in his Tickford Racing Falcon.

The top seven in the points all finished beyond that, largely opting against a run on fresh tyres at the end.
Series leader and Practice 1 pacesetter Paul Dumbrell recorded his fastest time on his first lap, finishing down the order in 17th.
Rullo’s MW Nissan team-mates Dean Fiore and Garry Jacobson were 12th and 16th, with last year’s top rookie Will Brown 20th.
All three Kostecki Brothers Racing drivers were also down the order, with Jake, Kurt and Brodie Kostecki 18th, 19th and 22nd.
A pair of 10-minute ARMOR ALL Qualifying sessions will take place at 11:15am local time on Saturday, before Race 1 in the afternoon.
