Schedule released for second Townsville round

The full track schedule has been announced for the Robson Civil Projects Townsville SuperSprint this weekend.

As per the recent NTI Townsville SuperSprint, Supercars action will revolve around a trio of 39-lap sprint races, one on Saturday and two on Sunday.

The only slight difference to the main game plan will be an earlier Sunday finish, with the finale start time brought forward an hour.

In terms of support categories, the North Queensland Supersprinters class will return for another five 20-minute sessions.

Triple Eight boss Roland Dane and 2014 Bathurst winner Paul Morris were among the competitors in the Supersprinters last weekend.

Hyundai Excels meanwhile will replace the Townsville Tin Tops for this time around.

A strong Excels field is on the cards, involving Dunlop Super2 Series regulars Will Brown, Brodie Kostecki, Broc Feeney and Angelo Mouzouris.

The Robson Civil Projects Townsville SuperSprint marks the fourth-last event on the 2020 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship calendar.

All the action will be broadcast live on Fox Sports and streamed on Kayo, with delayed highlights shown on Network Ten.
