One of New Zealand biggest music acts, Six60 will perform in Taupō during the ITM Super400 in the first of many announcements to the off track entertainment program that will support Supercars return to New Zealand.

The Six60 concert will be held at the Great Lakes Centre in Taupō’ on Saturday 20 April, following Supercars first ever race at the ITM Taupō Super400 that afternoon.

Six60 is New Zealand’s highest-selling and most commercially-decorated band. They were the first domestic band to sell out the iconic Western Springs Stadium with 50 thousand fans in attendance. They made global news in April of 2021 when they sold out Eden Parks in its first ever concert.

Concert tickets will be sold separately to Supercars’ tickets with first release available through Ticketek from Thursday. Fans will be able to register at Supercars.com for future ticketing releases to the concert and any others that will be announced over coming weeks.

Supercars Chief operating Officer Tim Watsford said: “Supercars is proud to support Six60’s performance in Taupō that will follow one of the biggest days of racing we’ve ever staged.

“This event is one of the biggest events on the calendar for us this year and to have one of New Zealand’s biggest bands on show in Taupō for fans is great news.

“We encourage fans to register interest for concert ticketing at Supercars.com as we hope to announce more exciting news about what’s happening during race week off-track offerings over coming weeks.”

The ITM Taupō Super400 will see Supercars, and various support categories including Porsche Carrera Cup Australia, NZ Central Muscle Cars, Toyota GAZOO Racing 86 Series NZ and Formula Ford NZ racing on the 3.32km International Circuit configuration of the venue over all three days of the event.

Drivers will once again be competing for the Jason Richards Memorial Trophy, named after the late Kiwi Supercars Hall of Fame inductee who contested 113 rounds and 284 races in his decorated career.

Supercars has secured the Taupō round in collaboration with the New Zealand Government and Taupō District Council for at least the next three years.

The ITM Taupō Super400 19-21, 2024 at Taupō International Motorsport Park. Tickets are available through Supercars.com and Ticketek.
