2024 Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 entertainment line-up unveiled

The music acts for the 30th anniversary celebrations of the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 have been confirmed

Supercars has this evening announced the music acts for the 30th anniversary celebrations of the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500, the Party in Paradise from 25-27 October on the famous street circuit.

At the official launch of the event held at the famous Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort, it was confirmed that Peking Duk, Jet, Spiderbait, Bag Raiders, Kingswood and DJ Total Eclipse will headline an electrifying music lineup that has will keep the party going long after racing, on the GC500 stage located within the precinct on Macintosh Island.

Friday night kicks things off with DJs taking centre stage, capped off with the performance by Peking Duk.

Ney York born, Brisbane-based fan-favourite party starter DJ Total Eclipse will be first on stage, delivering an epic show that has delighted fans around the world, including the Townsville and Gold Coast Supercars events.

DJ Total Eclipse will be followed on stage by Bag Raiders, the Australian dance royalty duo that produced the four-time platinum hit that became an internet sensation Shooting Stars among many other ARIA nominated hits.

Peking Duk will close Friday night’s party out in their trademark style. The formidable electronic/pop duo from Canberra have won two ARIA Awards, are 26 times Platinum, and are nearing one billion combined streams of their hits, including their seven Top 40 ARIA Singles.

Saturday Night will see some of Australia’s best rock acts let loose on the Macintosh Island stage headlined by Hall of Fame inductees Jet.

Kingswood returns to the GC500 stage on Saturday night after a whirlwind 2023 where the bands newest album HOME debuted at #2 on the ARIA Australian Vinyl and #1 on the ARIA Australian Country charts for an uninterrupted eight-week stint.

They’ll be followed by the high-energy performance of Australian rock legends Spiderbait.

The band recently celebrated their 30th anniversary with sell out shows around the country.

Spiderbait has sold more than half a million records, sending singles variously to #1 or into the Top 10, albums to double platinum status, winning multiple ARIA Awards and taking top spot on the Hottest 100.

2024 marks the 20th anniversary of Spiderbait’s version of Black Betty, which reached number one after 10 weeks in the singles chart in May 2004, and stayed there for three weeks, becoming their biggest selling single ever.

Rounding out Saturday’s huge night of entertainment will be Jet, the multi-platinum rockers, who will bring the house down with their chart-topping anthems, such as Are You Gonna Be My Girl, which led the band to international acclaim and six ARIA Awards.

In 2023 the band was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame for decades of success at home and abroad and hit the GC500 stage for the first time this year to close out a memorable Saturday night of performances.

The party vibes will flow on Sunday night, with some of the Gold Coast’s best local DJs to take to the GC500 stage all day and after the completion of racing.

Last year’s Boost Mobile GC500 drew a record crowd of 201,971.

Supercars CEO Shane Howard said early indications are that a similar if not larger turnout for the 30th anniversary of Supercars racing on the streets of Surfers Paradise.

"The 30th anniversary of the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 is shaping up to be something really special,” Howard said.

“Once again we've got some of Australia’s most legendary bands lined up, so it's going to be a great mix of intense racing and live music that’ll keep everyone going all day long."

“We’ve also got a great partner in Boost Mobile that is passionate about ensuring this year will be an unforgettable event on and off track once again.

“This will be another trademark GC500 party, rolling over three days at one of the most famous street circuits on the planet.
