Supercars is excited to announce its new partnership with Merlin, the leaders in safe and smart home access. Merlin is part of Chamberlain Group, the world’s largest manufacturer of automatic garage door and gate openers.

The partnership makes Merlin the Official Garage Door Partner and Official Home Access Partner of the Repco Supercars Championship.

"We are delighted to partner with Merlin, a company that shares our passion for safety, reliability and high-performance," said Supercars General Manager – Commercial, Jamie Black.

"This partnership will provide fans with incredible, immersive experiences - such as Hot Laps and Grid Walks - at Supercars events. As we enter a new era of racing with Gen3, Supercars is thrilled to have new deals in place with great, internationally renowned partners such as Merlin.”

Chamberlain Group VP & Managing Director, Grant Emanuel, said, "We are proud to partner with Supercars and throw our support behind a sport that is closely linked with our offering.

“Taking extra measures to ensure safety is kept top of mind is extremely important to us, as well as all Supercars drivers. Supercars drivers take extraordinary measures to stay safe on the track. Similarly, Merlin goes the extra mile to bring safety to your home. Across Australia and New Zealand, households rely on Merlin to keep their family, pets and belongings safe and secure thanks to our trusted technology.”

Merlin will have a major presence at Supercars events, offering fans the opportunity to experience the thrill of motorsport up close and personal, and provide the chance to learn more about Merlin's smart home access.”

Fans can also look forward to exciting competitions and giveaways, with a chances to win exclusive prizes and experiences.

The partnership between Merlin and Supercars is backed by the support of Merlin's brand ambassador, legendary Supercars driver and four-time Bathurst 1000 winner, Greg Murphy.

“As a race car driver, safety and risk-management has always been important to me - on and off the track. There are safety risks in everything we do – whether it’s going 300km/h around the racetrack, kicking a footy around at home, or even entering and exiting your home via the garage,” said Greg Murphy.

“In many ways, driver safety starts at home in the garage. What I love about Merlin is that it considers the risks and potential hazards that your garage might pose, and develops the technology for its garage door openers and gate openers accordingly. Smart access technology in Merlin’s myQ App and accessories such as Safety Beams allow you to have complete control of garage safety at home,” concludes Greg.

The first round of the 2023 Repco Supercars Championship is the Thrifty Newcastle 500 from 10-12 March. For more information about Merlin, visit www.gomerlin.com.au
