Wild moment for rookie sees close call with both wall and other cars
Love would be able to resume without the need for another red flag

Aaron Love has recounted his wild moment in Saturday practice at the NED Whisky Tasmania SuperSprint, after looping the CoolDrive Mustang at the final corner.
The West Australian rookie lost the rear and nearly spun through three complete rotations before coming to rest broadside on the racing line.
There were several close calls as Love attempted to get his car moving again, with Will Davison and Richie Stanaway having particularly close calls.
Love would get away after a few heart-stopping minutes, resuming without the need for race control to throw a red flag in an already disrupted 20 minute session.
Love wasn’t the only rookie to come unstuck, as Ryan Wood got beached in the gravel at the hairpin to bring out the only red flag of the session, topped by Stanaway.
Talking after the session, Love admitted that it was a hair-raising experience behind the wheel.
“I was really just hanging on for a bit of it, I felt like a ballerina,” quipped Love.
“The scary part was trying to get the thing out of there, obviously everyone is coming through to finish their lap and trying to get reverse in these things is not too easy, so I was just holding a lot of lock into it and hoping for the best.”
Love would recover, and finished 20th for the session, six tenths off the pace set by Stanaway at the head of the field.
“We made a little bit of a gain from yesterday, but there’s still a bit of homework to do.”
