BJR reveals milestone SCT Sandown livery
New-look Sandown look celebrates 50 years of SCT Logistics
Car to carry #50, names of 1100 SCT staff
Brad Jones Racing has revealed a new Sandown livery and number, with SCT Logistics celebrating 50 years of operation in 2024.
The Jaxon Evans/Dean Fiore Chevrolet Camaro will don a new colour scheme, with the #12 making way for the #50 at this weekend’s Penrite Oil Sandown 500.
The #50 car will carry a predominantly red livery, which was unveiled by Evans and SCT CEO Glenn Smith front of staff at the company's Altona headquarters.
The bonnet also lists the names of SCT's 1100 full-time staff. SCT Logistics was established in Australia in 1974 by Pete Smith, with the company going on to become a powerhouse in the logistics and transport sector.
From humble beginnings, with Smith purchasing his first truck in the 1960s, SCT now operates operating a fleet of over 55 locomotives.
SCT has had a presence in motorsport for a decade, with Jack Smith racing full-time in Supercars with SCT branding between 2020 and 2023. Evans replaced Smith in 2024, with the Kiwi preparing for his first enduro campaign as a full-time Supercars driver.
"Loving the updated design marking SCT's 50th anniversary. Understanding the company’s history and the significance of this milestone is nothing short of impressive,” Evans said.
"Hopefully, a new look will kick off the start of a strong back half to our debut season together."
Geoff Smith, SCT Logistics Managing Director, added: “Reaching 50 years for our company was never something we set out to achieve, however it is something that both the Smith family and the broader SCT family are immensely proud of.
“It’s testament to the generations of great SCT people that have all played a role in the SCT journey.
“As a small token of our appreciation, we celebrate our milestone with a special 50-year livery on the SCT Motorsport Supercar which includes the names of our 1110 dedicated staff.”
The new-look SCT Camaro will hit the track for the first time at Sandown on Friday.
