Brad Jones Racing has suffered an early setback at its pre-enduro test day, with Bryce Fullwood crashing at Winton Motor Raceway.

In exclusive vision captured by Supercars.com, Fullwood was behind the wheel of the #14 Middy's Electrical Chevrolet when it spun off the road at Turn 3.

The Middy's Camaro hit the tyre barriers on the driver's side, with Fullwood hitting trouble just two hours into the day's running.

Fullwood remained the in the car, which sustained cosmetic damage, as officials towed the Chevrolet back to the pits.

Testing was halted as the damaged Camaro was retrieved, with the #14 entry undergoing a driver change and brake change before the incident.

Fullwood was set to return to the pits for pit stop practice before the #14 spun off. BJR quickly repaired the car, which returned to the track after midday.

"I sort of feel like it's my first day on the job," the 26-year-old told Supercars.com.

"The boys changed the brakes, which we change a lot, but they actually changed the whole brake package, and didn't tell me the pump the brake pedal up.

"Obviously I didn't touch the brake pedal until I got to Turn 3, and got there, and had no brakes. We were going out to do a pit stop sequence, I wasn't up it, cold set of tyres, sort of cruising around.

"You don't realise how fast going slow is in these in these cars. Obviously ran down to Turn 3, no brakes, and into the fence driver's side."

It's the second time in as many years that a car suffered a suspected brake issue leading to an incident, with Shane van Gisbergen crashing heavily at Queensland Raceway last year.

In an omen for BJR, van Gisbergen went on to win the Repco Bathurst 1000, just as Alex Premat did with Scott McLaughlin after his own testing crash in 2019.

Fullwood and BJR returned to form at last month's NED Whisky Tasmania SuperSprint, with the Darwin-born driver claiming his first podium since 2020.

All southern teams are track at Winton, and northern teams at Queensland Raceway, as they ready for next weekend’s Penrite Oil Sandown 500.

Fullwood will race with rising star Jaylyn Robotham at the Penrite Oil Sandown 500 on September 13-15, and the Repco Bathurst 1000 on October 10-13.
