Matt Chahda Motorsport has secured major backing from Boost Mobile and Shaw and Partners for its Sandown 500 and Bathurst 1000 wildcard appearances.

The Albury privateers will compete at the Penrite Oil Sandown 500 and Repco Bathurst 1000, with Chahda joined by rising star Brad Vaughan.

Chahda and Vaughan will race an ex-Triple Eight Race Engineering Camaro, with drivers and team recently completing two test days at Winton Motor Raceway.

After an eleventh-hour sponsor withdrawal, the Chahdas were on the lookout for new partners ahead of this weekend's Sandown event.

Boost Mobile and Shaw and Partners Financial Services have since come to the rescue, with the Chahda entry to race under the Boost Mobile banner.

"We’re really pumped to have Boost Mobile on the journey as naming rights partner and additional support from the great team at Shaw and Partners Financial Services for the Sandown 500 and Bathurst 1000," Chahda said.

“Leading into this weekend we have been working full-time to prepare our Gen3 Camaro for a tough endurance season and we couldn’t be prouder of our team’s efforts on and off track.

"We thank Peter Adderton, Jason Haynes, Earl Evans and every one of our sponsors for their backing and can't wait to get the car on track this weekend."

The Peter Adderton-founded Boost company has previously sponsored wildcards, with the Kostecki Brothers entry (2019) and Greg Murphy/Richie Stanaway (2022) carrying the telco company's branding.

“We are proud to be supporting Matt Chahda Motorsport because their determination and commitment resonate with our own experiences," Adderton said.

"Seeing their dedication, we felt compelled to help them succeed. When I learned that this team had lost their sponsor and was striving as a family operation out of Albury, it evoked memories of our early days. I felt it was important to offer our support.

“We hope the fans appreciate our continued support of motorsport in Australia and they all get behind Matt and Brad as they take on the endurance season over coming weeks."

Shaw and Partners Financial Services co-CEO Earl Evans added: “We are excited to support Matt Chahda Motorsport as they embark on the Sandown 500 and Bathurst 1000.

"Their story of perseverance and family-driven passion aligns with our values at Shaw and Partners Financial Services.

"We believe in backing teams that exemplify dedication and resilience, and we are thrilled to play a part in their journey.”

The new-look Boost Mobile Matt Chahda Motorsport Chevrolet Camaro will be on track this Friday on the opening day of practice for the Penrite Oil Sandown 500 in Melbourne.
