Erebus uncovers new livery, sponsor for Kostecki Camaro
Karting business PowerPlay takes naming rights on #1 Chevrolet
Kostecki joined for enduros by Todd Hazelwood
Erebus Motorsport has uncovered a new livery and sponsor for the Penrite Oil Sandown 500, with PowerPlay taking naming rights on the Chevrolet Camaro of Brodie Kostecki and Todd Hazelwood.
The multi-coloured design highlights the colour scheme of the karts at PowerPlay’s Moorabbin venue.
PowerPlay, which has locations in Melbourne and Perth, first partnered with Erebus at Round 7 at Sydney Motorsport Park.
The kart and Supercars liveries were both designed by renowned Australian motorsport designer Peter Hughes.
Erebus revealed the livery at its annual Members Night at PowerPlay’s Moorabbin venue, where they had the chance to race against Kostecki, Hazelwood, Jack Le Brocq, Jayden Ojeda, and Erebus Academy recruits Jobe Stewart, Jarrod Hughes, Max Geoghegan and Ryan Wyhoon.
“The livery is certainly going to stand out at Sandown, it's one of my favourite tracks on the calendar and I can’t wait to get behind the wheel this weekend," said Kostecki, who finished second in the 2023 Sandown 500.
Hazelwood added: "I’m loving the bold design. It really ties in with the energy of the PowerPlay brand and the karting experience they offer. The car looks fast just sitting there, and I’m sure it’ll turn heads when we hit the track.”
Dean Herridge, PowerPlay Co-Founder and Board Member, said: “At PowerPlay, we’re driven by a passion for motorsport and a desire to think outside the box, which is why our partnership with Erebus Motorsport is such a natural fit.
"Both of our teams are committed to creating unique and unforgettable experiences for fans, whether it’s out on the track or behind the wheel of a kart. It’s all about sharing that excitement and energy that makes motorsport so special.”
Track action at Sandown will commence on Friday.
