17) Andrew Jones
5 race wins, 3 round wins, 2004 champion
The second-generation racer won the closest Super2 title fight in history in 2004, winning Brad Jones Racing's first silverware in Supercars competition.
Graduating from Formula Ford with part-time campaigns with his family team in 2002 and 2003, including a home round win at Winton in 2003, Jones lined up for his maiden full-time development series tilt in 2004.
Jones claimed back-to-back round wins at Winton and Sydney to launch his title charge, and finished on the podium in the final 10 races of the year to beat Luke Youlden on a countback after finishing level on points.
Jones returned to the Super2 Series after his full-time career ended, winning a race in Ipswich in 2011, and finishing in the top 10 in points between 2012 and 2016, before retiring after 2017.
16) Declan Fraser
4 race wins, 2 round wins, 2022 champion
In stark contrast to Jones' 10 years competing in Super2, Declan Fraser only spent two seasons in the development series at the beginning of this decade.
Graduated from a 2020 Super3 Series that never featured in the record books due to the small amount of races run, the Queenslander endured a baptism by fire at the conclusion of his first Super2 campaign.
After claiming his maiden podium finish at Sydney in 2021, Fraser had a horrifying crash during practice at Bathurst after losing a rear wheel, destroying his MW Motorsport Nissan on the run to McPhillamy Park.
A move to Triple Eight for 2022 worked wonders, winning races at Townsville and Sandown, and claiming round honours at the former, before sweeping the final round at Adelaide to clinch the title aged just 22.
To this day, it remains the latest Super2 Series victory for the most successful team in the history of the Repco Supercars Championship.
15) Garry Jacobson
7 race wins, 3 round wins, 2016 champion
The most recent driver to win the Dunlop Super2 Series driving a Ford, Garry Jacobson is one of the rare drivers who remained in the development series after
After debuting in 2013 in a Sonic Motor Racing Services Falcon, Jacobson began to progress towards the front of the field in a two-year stint with Eggleston Motorsport, finishing sixth in 2015 with two runner-up finishes.
A move to Tickford (then known as Prodrive Racing Australia) in 2016 saw Jacobson and teammate Jack Le Brocq debut the FG X Falcon in the development series, which proved the class of the field.
Though he won four races to Le Brocq's seven, it was consistency that saw the Victorian crowned champion by 88 points, with third placed Todd Hazelwood some 320 points behind.
Jacobson wouldn't get his main game opportunity until 2019, after he finished third in the 2018 Super2 standings after a switch to MW Motorsport and Nissan.
14) Todd Hazelwood
6 race wins, 2 round wins, 2017 champion
The popular South Australian led one of the great underdog success stories in the Super2 Series, beating all the odds to beat some of the most established names in Super2 Series history.
Making his full-time debut in 2014 with Matt Stone Racing, Hazelwood was a top 10 runner right from the outset, and chipped away towards the front of the pack, finishing third in 2016 and the first of the non-main game teams.
2017 got off to a strong start, claiming two wins and a further five podiums in the first seven races of the season, however his enormous accident during Sandown 500 qualifying with Brad Jones Racing threatened to derail his title bid.
However, mere hours after his wild ride, Hazelwood finished a brave third, and ultimately reeled in Paul Dumbrell at the Newcastle finale to claim the development series crown.
13) Broc Feeney
5 race wins, 3 round wins, 2021 champion
The current-day Red Bull Ampol Racing young gun in the Repco Supercars Championship announced himself as one of the brightest prospects in Australian motorsport through his Super2 career.
After beating Jayden Ojeda to the 2019 Super3 Series just shy of his 17th birthday, Feeney was snapped up by Tickford for the 2020 Dunlop Super2 Series.
Feeney finished seventh in his rookie Super2 campaign, which was truncated by a heavy crash at The Esses in the final qualifying session of the year at Bathurst, before Triple Eight pounced and snapped up the teenager for 2021.
With Jamie Whincup announcing his retirement in the pre-season for that year's campaign, and Feeney driving the famous #888 with Red Bull backing, the pressure was on to perform in 2021.
Feeney duly delivered, finishing outside the top two only once all year to dominate proceedings and earn a promotion to replace the seven-time Supercars champion for 2022 and beyond.
12) Scott McLaughlin
5 race wins, 2 rounds wins, 2012 champion
After Ross and Jimmy Stone successfully placed protégé Shane van Gisbergen straight into the Supercars Championship via Team Kiwi Racing in 2007, another teenage prodigy from New Zealand entered Super2 in 2010 with SBR support.
It was a late start to Scott McLaughlin's maiden Super2 campaign, the then-16-year-old having not met licensing requirements for the opening round at Adelaide, finishing 12th in the overall standings after a season that saw him miss races after crashes at Ipswich and Bathurst.
McLaughlin was much improved in 2011, finishing fourth in the standings and claiming his maiden race win at Ipswich, one year removed from being collected on the start line after stalling on the grid.
Future Supercars race winners Chaz Mostert, Nick Percat, and Scott Pye joined McLaughlin as the key contenders in 2012, and duly battled it out for the Super2 crown.
It was McLaughlin who beat Pye following a seven-race podium streak in the middle of the season, including three wins spread across Perth and Townsville.
11) Bryce Fullwood
6 race wins, 4 round wins, 2019 champion
One of the most dominant runs to a Super2 title came from Bryce Fullwood in 2019, however it was a championship charge that was five years in the making.
Fullwood's first four seasons in the development series were a baptism by fire, only recording a best finish of 11th in the standings in 2017 after upgrading from an FG Falcon to a Nissan Altima mid-season.
A disastrous campaign with Matt Stone Racing in 2018 saw him return to MW Motorsport's Nissan program in 2019 with a major point to prove.
Few could've expected what was to come that season, with Fullwood crushing the field by winning six races, finishing second four times, and only failing to make the top five on one occasion.
The 2025 Dunlop Super2 Series will resume at the Snowy River Caravans Tasmania Super 440 from May 9-11. Tickets for the event are on sale now.
