Boost Mobile’s second year supporting Supercars pole position in 2025
Driver with most poles in 2025 to win $50,000, double the amount from 2024
Prize money also paid to pole sitter for each individual race
Boost Mobile has stepped up its support of Supercars’ fastest drivers, today announcing a $120,000 prize purse for pole sitters during the 2025 Repco Supercars Championship season.
The Official Telecommunications Partner of Supercars took up naming rights of the Supercars pole award in 2024, and has increased its involvement ahead of the revolutionary 2025 season that begins this week.
Crucially, Boost Mobile has upped the prize to $50,000 for the driver who earns the most pole positions in 2025, double what was awarded in 2024.
That driver will be crowned the Boost Mobile Pole Champion, and will also earn the Boost Mobile "Golden Helmet," symbolising excellence in qualifying performance.
Tickford Racing driver Cam Waters heads into this season as the defending Boost Mobile Pole Champion after taking seven pole positions in 2024.
Prize money will continue to be paid to pole sitters for each of the 34 individual races on the 2025 Supercars calendar. Pole position each of the 25 races in the Sprint Cup will earn $1000 each, while winning the pole in endurance races and races in the Finals series will earn $5000 each.
Boost Mobile’s increased focus on rewarding qualifying efforts underscores its commitment to drivers and teams who push the limits to secure the top grid spots.
"Motorsport has been at the heart of Boost Mobile since the very beginning, and for us it's always about working with our partners to enhance the fan experience, a reflection of what we do everyday for our customers," said incoming Head of Boost Mobile Australia, Bobby Geldens.
"This incredible prize pool for pole sitters will add another layer of excitement to every event on the 2025 Supercars Championship schedule. Boost Mobile is raising the stakes, creating even more buzz for the sport and rewarding those Supercars teams and drivers who leave it all on the racetrack.".”
A two-time Pole Champion already and a favourite to contend for this year’s accolade, Cam Waters welcomes the increased stakes and opportunities to take home more Boost Mobile pole cheques in 2025.
“It’s absolutely awesome to see Boost Mobile getting behind teams and drivers to put it all on the line in qualifying,” Waters said.
“The competition is so tight, in qualifying it really does come down to hundredths and thousandths of a second. To start at the front you need to be extremely committed, and obviously have a fast car to get there, so shoutout to Boost Mobile for rewarding drivers and teams for getting the job done.
“I won’t lie, a $50,000 cheque would look real nice in the Tickford workshop, so we’ll get to work on that when we get to Sydney and try to go back-to-back.”
The 2025 Repco Supercars Championship gets under way this weekend with the Thrifty Sydney 500 at Sydney Motorsport Park.
