23 cars set to tackle the opening round of the 2025 Dunlop Super2 Series
Nine rookies set to battle it out for rookie of the year honours
Field split into 14 Commodores and nine Mustangs
An exciting group of young talent has been locked in to contest the 2025 Dunlop Super2 Series season opener at the Thrifty Sydney 500.
23 cars are set to contest the full season in the development series, with stops to follow in Tasmania, Townsville, Ipswich, Bathurst, and Adelaide.
Headlining the full-time entries is reigning champion Zach Bates, who has made the switch from Walkinshaw Andretti United to Eggleston Motorsport and will be hunting history as the first driver to win back-to-back titles.
Bates is the spearhead of an expanded five car Eggleston assault, with reigning Super3 champion Cody Burcher, GR Cup graduate Bradi Owen, ex-Brad Jones Racing driver Elliott Cleary, and incumbent Jordyn Sinni joining the Canberran.
Of the 11 full-time teams contesting the Repco Supercars Championship, six are also fielding teams in Super2, namely Triple Eight, Tickford, WAU, Erebus, BJR, and Blanchard Racing Team.
Privateer outfits Kelly Racing and Anderson Motorsport also return with two-car efforts, whilst Erebus satellite operation Image Racing expand with GR Cup champion Max Geoghegan added to a three-car team.
A notable omission from the field is Matt Chahda Motorsport, who were a late withdrawal having signalled their intentions to expand their Super2 operations over the off-season.
The privateer Albury squad is expected to return at the Tasmania Super 440 in May, and could be running either two or three cars split across both Holden and Ford, depending on the status of an ex-AIM Motorsport/Tickford Mustang that was purchased during the off-season.
The new-look grid will roll out at Sydney Motorsport Park on February 21-23. Tickets for the Sydney 500 - Opening Round are available now.
