Rain has come to the rescue for Will Brown, who has become the first repeat winner of the Larry Perkins Trophy.
Heavy rainfall brought an early end to proceedings in Melbourne, with Race 7 abandoned at Albert Park.
Brown will carry a seven-point lead over Tickford Racing star Cam Waters to the next round in New Zealand, with Feeney 49 points down in third.
Brown won the Perkins Trophy by 10 points, with Friday winner Cameron Hill 36 points down in third.
Six drivers were in mathematical contention to win the trophy, with Nick Percat, Brodie Kostecki and Cam Waters also in the frame.
Ultimately, rain won the day, with reigning champion Brown backing the call.
"I think it's one of those things, when you're up the front you can see everything. Me being down the back where I was, you could hardly see anything," the Triple Eight Race Engineering driver said.
"Everyone is going to have different opinions on it, I don't think many cars would've made it through Turns 7 and 8 on the first lap if we went racing, but who knows, we could've given it a crack."
The 2025 Repco Supercars Championship will resume in New Zealand at the ITM Taupō Super 440 on April 11-13. Tickets for the event are on sale now.
