The story so far
Race 10: New Zealand hero Matt Payne has taken out the Jason Richards Memorial Trophy, cantering to victory in a crushing performance at the ITM Taupō Super 440. The Penrite Racing driver took the lead from Cameron Hill on lap 8 of the 61-lap affair, and was never headed from there through two pit cycles to win Race 10 of the 2025 Repco Supercars Championship. Sunday Shootout: Brodie Kostecki has claimed pole position for Race 10 of the Repco Supercars Championship following a brilliant lap in the Boost Mobile Top Ten Shootout at the ITM Taupō Super 440. Click here for session report.
Sunday Qualifying: The championship was blown wide open after a dramatic Boost Mobile Qualifying in Taupō, with Brodie Kostecki taking provisional pole. Remarkably, the top three drivers in the championship all failed to secure a Top Ten Shootout berth. Click here for session report.
Race 9: Chaz Mostert has outmuscled Brodie Kostecki in a battle for the ages to claim his first win of 2025. Mostert required all 357 races of his Supercars experience to climb over Kostecki, who after losing his pole advantage, made sure his Ford rival didn't have an easy path to victory No. 25 in Supercars. Race 8: Matt Payne scored his first win of the 2025 season with a masterful drive in the ITM Taupō Super 440 opener, the Penrite Racing driver holding off Ford rival Cam Waters. Payne denied a racy Brodie Kostecki in the first stint before driving away from Waters, who reclaimed the points lead from reigning champion Will Brown. Click here for race report.
Saturday Qualifying: Matt Payne and Brodie Kostecki have scooped the Saturday Boost Mobile Pole Positions at the ITM Taupō Super 440, on what was a busy and confusing morning in New Zealand. The two sessions were plagued by timing issues during on-track action, but Kostecki emerged the class of the field across the two sessions, putting his #38 Jet Couriers Ford Mustang in second and first for Saturday's 120km sprints. Practice 2: Ryan Wood has recovered from a Practice 1 off to lead the way in final practice at the ITM Taupō Super 440. Wood, who ended the morning session in the gravel trap, was fastest of all after a frantic end to Friday's action. It was far from smooth sailing from the top three in the championship, with Will Brown, Cam Waters and Broc Feeney filling positions nine through 11. Click here for session report.
Practice 1: Andre Heimgartner opened his account in fine fashion, claiming the fastest time in the opening practice session of the weekend in New Zealand. Heimgartner led Team 18's Anton De Pasqaule by just 0.0258s. The session ended 90 seconds early after Ryan Wood found himself parked in the gravel at the final corner. Click here for session report.
